At The Equal Learning Foundation, service is our first priority. In order to accommodate our customers, we hire bright tutors willing to go above and beyond to make your experience more enjoyable. Below is a short list of some accommodations we offer. If you have any more questions regarding accommodations, please contact us via our contact page or talk to one of our representatives at 1-888-8 The ELF.
Flexible Hours and Locations
We understand that time is precious and that many families have a busy schedule and struggle to make time for tutoring. We try to alleviate that struggle by allowing the customer to choose whether to meet at their home or at a convenient public place of their liking. In addition, we have tutors that are available at almost any time during the week, including weekends. The time you save by not having to drive long distances to meet with a tutor, can be applied to more productive things in your life. Please note that arrangements for meeting locations and meeting times should be discussed with the tutor prior to entering into a tutoring agreement.
Multilingual Tutors
Not everyone feels comfortable communicating in the same language. We understand that. Because the most effective learning occurs when the student is most comfortable we have assembled a fleet of well qualified tutors who can communicate in and teach some of the most common languages. Many of our tutors are also comfortable speaking multiple languages interchangeably, which can be very beneficial for those students learning a new tongue.
Our most requested languages are Spanish, French, Russian, Italian, Greek, Hindi/Urdu, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Vietnamese. If you need assistance with any other language, please contact us via our contact form or by calling one of our representatives at 1-888-8 The ELF.
Special Needs
Many of our tutors have vast and diverse experience helping children with learning disabilities and some specialize in teaching Life Skills. Currently, we have tutors who have experience helping children with Dyslexia, ADD/ADHD, Autism and Down Syndrome. We also work in partnership with a company called Independent Evaluations (713-906-1265). Independent Evaluations does extensive, in-depth and professional testing of children and adults to determine any conditions they may have, and approaches to helping them succeed. Did you know that you don’t have to wait for your child’s school to approve the testing? Don’t wait until your child is already two years behind his or her peers!
